No-exam life insurance
Eligibility rules for instant-decision underwriting, how the process works, and what happens if you don't qualify.
Nowadays many carriers provide accelerated underwriting: for applicants within age and amount windows, they approve using the application, pharmacy records, driving history, and other sources instead of a doctor visit. Decisions often arrive within hours. This site shows whether each quote requires an exam, might need one, or doesn't require one.
What it changes
Accelerated underwriting does not mean no underwriting. Application information gets verified, and a policy issued on false statements can be challenged within the first two years. Some carriers may request additional testing if their data suggests questions.
Who tends to qualify
Typically people under roughly 60, applying for amounts within the carrier's accelerated thresholds, with no serious health issues and non-tobacco status for at least a year. Recent physician bloodwork from a check-up may substitute for a new exam at some carriers.
When an exam is required, plan for a 20- to 30-minute visit from a paramedical examiner at your location within the greater Cypress region, performed at no cost to you. Healthy exam results often result in a better rate classification, making the exam a positive development rather than a hurdle.
